Eve F. Fabrizio, Ph.D. - VP of Engineering

Eve is in charge of the sensor technology at NBS.  She has brought over 25 years of experience in technology and product development. This experience includes materials developed for defense applications at Honeywell Federal Manufacturing and Technologies in Kansas City, MO, as well as chemical and biological detection at Smiths Detection and at Crosslink, Inc. Eve holds a doctorate degree in Physical Chemistry from the University of Texas at Austin, and a bachelors degree in Biochemistry from the University of Cincinnati.  Dr. Fabrizio has over 25 publications and 10 patents to her name.


Pamela Hendrix - Technical Operations Manager

Pam is in charge of coordinating and executing clinical studies at NBS. Additionally, she is acting as lab manager and accountant. Pam has her BS in biology from University of Akron. Prior to working for NBS, she spent several years working for another Cleveland area biotech startup. Pam joined NBS in February 2016.


Bindi Patel - Research Scientist

Bindi is a Research Scientist at NBS. She specializes in saliva glucose detection and interference elimination.  She earned her Masters Degree in Biomedical Engineering from Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio, and her Lalbhai Dalpatbhai College of Engineering in Ahmedabad, India. Her extensive research included a nanotechnology platform for cancer diagnostics and drug delivery, and immunotherapy through nanoparticle carriers as antigen delivery vehicles.

Kraig Holler - Manufacturing Engineer

Kraig is in charge of sensor manufacturing and testing. He was originally hired as an intern in 2015, when he was a student at the Micro-electromechanical Systems (MEMS) program at LCCC, near our offices in Elyria.

Ava Hoppenstein Shore - CEO - Board Chairman

Ava is in charge of business development at NBS, as well as strategic marketing and customer outreach. She had worked for Hewlett Packard's Medical Device Group, and also in startups and real estate. Her roles have included strategic planning, business strategy, management, fundraising, and leadership. She earned her B.S. from Boston University.

Ava also serves as the Chairman of Nanobio's Board of Directors.
